CDC Mobile Extends International Collaboration
February 02, 2007
CDC Mobile, a China-based mobile service provider, has signed a letter of intent to form a strategic alliance with Japanese 3G content provider BBMF Group. CDC Mobile is expected to invest US$20 million in purchasing BBMF Group's convertible bonds and thereby acquire the preemptive right for BBMF Group's 3G products and services in China.

Meanwhile, CDC Mobile agrees to the pre-installation of its proprietary software in certain Nokia mobile phones in the Chinese market. Users are therefore able to use CDC Mobile's game, ringtone, news, and weather forecast services. Related financial terms were not available.
